TESI

Extending a locked-in legacy ERP when the vendor no longer provides source access.

TESI relied on a proprietary PCsoft ERP installation without source code. AllBLUE mapped the running system, rebuilt critical vendor and purchase capabilities, and introduced governed AI features—without disrupting daily manufacturing operations.

Engagement overview

A client product, strengthened by All Blue.

Engagement type

Legacy ERP analysis, module development, and AI integration

Manufacturers locked into aging ERP platforms often cannot wait for a full replacement. TESI needed new vendor and purchase workflows plus practical AI assistance inside a system they could not modify through normal channels. AllBLUE took a controlled modernization path: understand the live system, isolate extension boundaries, deliver new modules with clear ownership, and integrate AI where it creates operational value.

The client challenge

The system problem behind the brief.

The business depended on a legacy ERP that could not be extended through conventional development. New procurement workflows and AI assistance had to fit the existing operational reality—not a hypothetical replacement project.

01

Vendor lock-in without source

Critical business logic lived inside a proprietary platform the organization could operate but not openly extend.
02

Missing procurement capabilities

Vendor and purchase workflows required by the operation were absent or incomplete inside the current system.
03

AI had to respect production constraints

Any intelligent assistance needed governed inputs, human review, and behavior the shop floor could trust.
04

Continuity was non-negotiable

Manufacturing could not pause for a multi-year rip-and-replace. Changes had to land in controlled stages.

Our mandate

Deliver new vendor and purchase capabilities and practical AI integration on top of the existing ERP footprint—while preserving operational continuity and creating a path for further improvement.

How All Blue helped

The engagement moved through five connected phases.

Each phase produced tangible system artifacts and reduced a different category of product or engineering risk.

01

System discovery

Mapped live workflows, data relationships, integration points, and the boundaries where safe extension was possible.

Workflow mapExtension boundariesRisk register
02

Module design

Defined vendor and purchase journeys, ownership rules, approvals, and the records required by finance and operations.

03

Controlled implementation

Built and validated new capabilities in stages with reconciliation checkpoints against the legacy environment.

04

AI integration

Introduced governed AI assistance for document handling, lookup, and workflow support with explicit human oversight.

05

Stabilization

Supported adoption, exception handling, and a backlog for the next wave of modernization decisions.

Major workstreams

The contribution was broader than feature delivery.

All Blue worked across the product, technical, data, and operating layers required to make the client system coherent.

01

Legacy system analysis

Established how the running ERP behaved in production and where new work could attach without destabilizing core processes.

02

Procurement modules

Engineered vendor and purchase workflows aligned to TESI's actual approval and material flow requirements.

03

AI-assisted operations

Added practical AI where repetitive document and lookup work slowed teams—always with review and auditability.

04

Program governance

Kept business owners, IT constraints, and delivery stages visible so modernization stayed accountable.

Workflow stageClient needAll Blue contributionSystem result
01Operational discovery

Understand what the legacy ERP actually controls today.

Mapped live processes, data ownership, and safe extension points before committing to build scope.

A shared picture of where modernization can start without breaking production.

02Vendor onboarding

Manage suppliers with consistent records and approvals.

Designed vendor masters, qualification steps, and role-aware workflows.

Supplier information and actions stay inside accountable system paths.

03Purchase execution

Move requests through approval and fulfillment reliably.

Built purchase workflows with validation, status visibility, and finance alignment.

Procurement teams work from one operational record instead of parallel tools.

04AI-assisted review

Reduce repetitive document and lookup work safely.

Integrated governed AI assistance with explicit review for consequential decisions.

Teams save time while retaining human accountability.

05Continuous improvement

Decide what to modernize next with evidence.

Left a prioritized backlog connected to business risk and operating value.

Modernization becomes a managed program—not a one-time project.

Architecture contribution

Responsibilities connected from experience to operation.

Each layer has a distinct role, a defined implementation path, and a clear relationship to the layers around it.

Major impact

The durable capability the client gained.

These outcomes focus on the system-level change created by the engagement without inventing unsupported vanity metrics.

01

Procurement moved into the system

Vendor and purchase work gained structured workflows instead of living in spreadsheets and manual follow-up.
Engagement impact
02

Legacy lock-in became manageable

TESI gained a credible path to improve the current platform while planning longer-term decisions.
Engagement impact
03

AI entered production responsibly

Assistance was tied to real workflows with review, not disconnected experiments.
Engagement impact
04

Modernization gained a sequence

Leadership can prioritize the next stage using operational evidence rather than vendor timelines alone.
